What should I check first when Notion notifications aren’t arriving?
Split the problem two ways: who it’s for (yourself / a teammate / someone outside Notion) and which channel (in-app, email, mobile push, or a due-date reminder). If it’s you, confirm each channel is on in Settings > My notifications and that you’re following the page. Push also depends on your device’s OS permission and power-saving settings.
Why do only email notifications fail to arrive?
Email notifications may be off in settings, the message may be filtered to spam, or — because Notion tends to email you only when you haven’t seen an update in-app — staying logged in can suppress the email. Enable Email notifications in Settings > My notifications and check your inbox filters.
Why is mobile push missing or delayed?
Push depends on your device and OS settings, so delays and misses are common. Check the OS notification permission for the Notion app, exclude it from battery optimization, and confirm push is on inside the mobile app and that you’re logged in.
Why don’t clients or customers outside Notion get the notifications?
Notion’s bell notifications, mentions and reminders assume the recipient has a Notion account and is logged in. People without an account won’t get them through the standard features. For due dates that must arrive, add a channel that reaches outside Notion — email is the practical one.
