Terms of Service

Effective: July 24, 2026

These Terms govern your use of Kapsel (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. This English version is provided for convenience.

1. The Service

The Service watches the Notion databases you connect and, based on the due dates and conditions you set, automatically sends reminders by email and reflects recipients’ responses back to Notion.

2. Accounts

• You must register with accurate information and are responsible for safeguarding your credentials.
• Except in cases of our willful misconduct or gross negligence, we are not liable for losses arising from unauthorized use of your account.

3. Plans & billing

• The Service offers a Free plan and paid plans (Standard and Pro). Features and limits are described on the pricing page.
• Paid plans are billed monthly and renew automatically. You can cancel anytime from your dashboard and retain access through the end of the current billing period.
• Given the nature of the Service, we do not provide refunds or prorated refunds after payment.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card details.
• If we change pricing or plan contents, we will notify you in advance within the Service or by email.

4. Prohibited conduct

You must not:

• Violate any law or public order and morals;
• Send advertising email without the recipient’s consent, or otherwise send spam;
• Infringe others’ rights (privacy, intellectual property, etc.);
• Gain unauthorized access to, or place an excessive load on, the Service or the Notion API;
• Interfere with the operation of the Service.

5. Responsibility for what you send

• You set the content, recipients and timing of messages, and you are responsible for them.
• The Service automatically adds an unsubscribe link and sender identity, but compliance with anti-spam and other applicable laws (e.g., CAN-SPAM, GDPR/ePrivacy where relevant) is your responsibility as the sender.

6. Relationship with Notion

Kapsel is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, Notion Labs, Inc. Changes to, or outages of, the Notion API may change or limit the Service’s functionality.

7. Disclaimers

• The Service is provided “as is.” We do not guarantee the delivery of email or the exact timing of sends.
• Except in cases of our willful misconduct or gross negligence, we are not liable for damages arising from your use of the Service. For use during any free period, we are not liable for monetary damages in any case.

8. Changes & suspension

We may change, suspend or discontinue the Service with prior notice (or after the fact in an emergency). If we discontinue it, we will provide reasonable notice.

9. Termination & data deletion

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. After that, we will delete your data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law. To request deletion, contact us below.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We will notify you of material changes within the Service or by email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing law & jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Disputes relating to the Service are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the court that has jurisdiction over the operator’s location as the court of first instance.
