Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data Kapsel (the “Service”) handles and how. This English version is provided for convenience.
1. Data we handle
- Account information: your email address and authentication information used to sign in.
- Notion connection: access tokens obtained via Notion’s official OAuth, stored encrypted. We access the pages/databases you authorize, only to provide the Service.
- Database content: the fields needed to send reminders (e.g., due date, assignee, status, recipient email) from the databases you connect.
- Send data & logs: recipients, message content, and the date/time of sends, kept as a delivery record.
- Usage data: standard analytics such as page views and referrers (see “Analytics”).
2. How we use data
- To provide and operate the Service (watch Notion, send reminders, write responses back to Notion).
- To process billing for paid plans.
- To maintain, secure and improve the Service, and to provide support.
3. Service providers
We use the following providers to run the Service. Your data is shared with them only to the extent necessary:
- Vercel — hosting and web analytics.
- Stripe — payment processing for paid plans (we do not store full card numbers).
- Resend — email delivery, from our authenticated server (notify@getkapsel.com).
- Google Analytics — aggregate usage measurement.
4. Analytics & cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies for analytics (Vercel Analytics, Google Analytics) to understand usage in aggregate. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
5. Email sending
Emails are sent from our authenticated delivery server and automatically include an unsubscribe link and sender identity. Once a recipient unsubscribes, we do not send to that address again.
6. Data sharing
We do not sell your data or share it with third parties except: the service providers above; when required by law; or to protect the rights and safety of users or the operator.
7. Retention & deletion
We retain data for as long as needed to provide the Service. When you delete your account or disconnect, we delete the associated data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law. Disconnecting stops all sending immediately.
8. Your choices
- Disconnect Notion at any time to stop access and sending.
- Request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data by contacting us below.
9. Relationship with Notion
Kapsel is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, Notion Labs, Inc.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We will notify you of material changes within the Service or by email.
